Under One Roof is a collection of custom-made, house-shaped, sculptural painted forms.
This series was conceived in July 2019. The group of paintings began as a deeply personal exploration of connection—both to family and to the idea of “home.” Over the last 5 years, its meaning has expanded to reflect our shared experience of togetherness and transformation, revealing a message that is both intimate and universal.
Each “house” is an abstract painting on a custom-built birch form. Every piece in the collection is a unique oil and cold wax mixed media painting. The paintings typically measure between 8 x 6 x 5 inches, up to 15 x 5 x 4 inches. Each "home" is a testament to the enduring warmth and complexity of what it means to be “under one roof.”
